Now, if I read this right, it says we should get 1 point for gold spent and 10 points for opening a jackal crate, is this the worlds worst typo or will I seriously be able to get him that easily?

But it says using GOLD AND JACKAL TOKENS, so why does only one of them count?

No matter what you do to open a Jackal crate, opening one gets you a point. If you choose to open one with whatever you chose, 1 point. If you choose the 10x option, you get 10 points.
