Skin Changes

Skin bonuses have been adjusted. Now that some Heroes will be getting a 2nd skin we wanted to make sure the bonuses being provided were identical, except for the visual aspects of a skin. Overall, this means improvements to Common and Rare skins. This is to ensure that players are able to customize the look of their Heroes, without having to choose between differing skin bonuses. The various Skin Changes are detailed below, see Hero Changes .

Bronze Skill Cooldown Changes

Charge rates of Bronze Skills have been adjusted for most Heroes. This gives an additional boost to the charge rate of High Rate of Fire Heroes and a small reduction to Slow Rate of Fire Heroes; What this means is more bullets = faster Skill charge. The various Cooldown Changes are detailed below, see Hero Changes.

Hero Changes

Clyde Gammond Galante Sapphyr Salvatore Ifrit

Click here to expand the list

Clyde Clyde

Clyde high Damage per shot, good DPS, and low Survivability embody the ideal “Glass Cannon”. He is a highly used Hero in all Divisions, but we wanted to make some playability improvements to his high-end skill and team skill synergy to create a more rewarding experience.

  • Improved Quickdraw:

    • Reduced Cooldown Generation; 1.7/shot > 1.6/shot
    • Stunned targets guaranteed to get hit.
    • Provides a free reload on a successful hit.
  • Improved Crackshot:

    • Maximum charges increased to 12.
    • Provides a % Critical Chance boost per charge.
    • Fixed an issue that wouldn’t deplete all charges on a missed shot.
  • Improved Lone Outlaw Skin:

    • Reduced Critical Chance; 3% > 2%
    • Improved Damage; 2% > 4%

Gammond Gammond

We want to keep Gammond focused on his Team Healing and supportive Tanking role. Gammond is envisioned as the comeback king, his Healing now scale better as his teammates are defeated making leaving Gammond til last a problematic.

The next major change to the Hero involves his Gold skill, Last Stand. Often regarded as useless, as Gammond was rarely in a situation where he was the sole survivor. This skill now gives Gammond a possibility of a self-revive and a short duration of invulnerability. This should help to extend Gammond’s life and allow him to continue to support his team, even when he is killed early on.

  • Improved Serve and Protect:

    • Reduced Cooldown Generation; 2.0/shot > 1.7/shot
    • Improved Skill Cooldown Cost; 42 > 40
    • Improved Heal over Time.
    • Reduced bonus Health.
    • Added bonus Heal over Time for taunting Ally. The more allies that are dead the stronger the heal per fallen ally.
  • Reworked Last Stand:

    • The first time Gammond takes lethal damage he gains [Last Stand].
    • While active, he gains a faster fire rate and deals more Elemental Attack Damage.
    • If an enemy dies while [Last Stand] is active, Gammond is revived. If no enemies were killed, Gammond will die when the effect expires.
  • Improved Sheriff:

    • Reduces the cooldown of [Kill Shot] on a critical hit.

Galante Galante

Galante rarely met the expectations of his formidable size, often being a lower threat than initially imagined. We are dramatically improving Galante’s Damage output, specifically his Area Damage. Galante is a great Hero for dealing with masses of weaker enemies and succeeds in situations where he can cleave through large groups of tightly packed foes.

  • Improved Strafe:

    • Improved Cooldown Generation; 1.1/shot > 1.4/shot
    • Increased Skill Cooldown Cost; 40 > 50
    • Improved missile’s travel pattern.
    • Reduced travel speed; 0.9 seconds > 1.2 seconds
    • Increased Elemental Damage.
    • Increased Shield.
  • Improved Jouste:

    • Increased Damage.
    • Removed Armor reduction.
    • Now deals bonus Damage to any enemy in his path.
  • Improved Boomlance:

    • Fixed an issue that would cause the primary Jouste target to avoid taking Area Damage.
    • Improved Consistency of Jouste’s Area Damage.
    • Improved FXs when Boomlance deals Area Damage.
    • Increased Basic Attack Damage Radius; 2 > 2.5
  • Reworked Heavy Cavalry:

    • Triggers off of Shields rather than Movement.
    • Reduced Damage Reduction; 30% > 15%
    • Added bonus Armor while Shielded.

Sapphyr Sapphyr

Sapphyr is seeing major changes to her Basic Weapon Damage. We are reducing her overall Rate of Fire, by compensating by boosting Damage per shot. Sapphyr will be much more effective against Armored enemies and will have more consistent Damage against a greater variety of enemies, as well as having easier to control Weapon Accuracy to allow easier engagement with distant foes.

I don’t get why Irfit was buffed again. He was fine as he was. Annoying bit not unbeatable. Buffing his gold makes it nearly impossible to kill him first because you can’t kill another one afterwards.
No change to Panzer’s dps, no changes to the bios dps.
You just made the current meta even better…

As far as I know ‘FX’ refers to the visual effects, so he should be exactly the same, in game terms

Then I will change it to “you did nothing to change the current meta”

Uploading…

Who is having this issue after the update ??
Showing lines on the heroes !!!

@Zali Would you please log a ticket through Player Support? That might be a device-specific issue as we haven’t seen this in testing.

what do they mean by “reduced skill cooldown generation 5.1/shot > 2.1/shot”
and “increased skill cooldown cost 15 > 10”
that’s for nightengale, does that mean they buffed her or nerfed her? if they buffed her i’m deleting this game lol

Overall I don’t mind the update, but where I drew the line is the crafting recipe downgrade. 3x easier.

From the point of view of someone who took roughly 2-3 months grinding to make all 60+ of my heroes gold+; Sadly, I feel all of that work was for nothing.

Let me make this clear, I’m not asking for compensation or a hand out. I just strongly disagree with my (and others like me) grind versus the new, extremely easy grind.

I suppose nothing left to say but GG me, I guess.

As always, happy hunting.

@Lucy_Ford … I believe it works as follows:

skill cooldown cost = the time it takes for the skill to charge if you just sit behind cover and don’t shoot.
skill cooldown generation = how much you reduce the above timer per shot you hit an enemy with.

It’s an interesting buff/nerf. They made it so she charges her healing less when she hits someone, but made it so her heal if more accessible. I would say it’s a nerf, but we’ll have to see in PvP before we can judge. But yea, one of the things that make night’s healing so OP is how much she was able to charge it with a single shot.

but the gears will be more difficult to get now…

so… long story short, which heroes get buffs up and which hero get nerf down ?

gammond & galante got buffed, clyde slight buffed, the rest is just adjustment and some fix

So now, heroes with a higher rate of fire will be using their skills more often, and those with a low RoF will be using them less? Doesn’t sound good…

I am a bit bummed that there was no new legendary skin.

I have so many saved skin tokens

-Vestige

This is pretty much exactly what I expected. I remarked to folks in my alliance that the 2nd Role Warfare update would probably be something incredibly underwhelming like 5-10% changes in certain modifiers.

So we got changes that make some high ROF DPS charge one of their skills ~10-20% faster. A couple of heroes with significant bronze skills will consider this a moderate buff but there’s absolutely nothing big enough to shift the meta or do anything material for the dozens and dozens of DPS heroes that simply aren’t competitive right now.

HHG needs to realize they aren’t going to get infinite opportunities to balance the metagame. I’m simply out of patience waiting every month for them to give me a reason to 90% of my heroes in PVP, only to have every update simply nudge a handful of heroes and act like it’s going to matter at all.

High ROF absolutely ruins DPS under this armor system, making a bronze charge faster is not going to justify bringing along subpar DPS.

I was to tired to write a long text, so I just complained in my post. But waking up and seeing you hitting the nail on the head with you post, makes it unnecessary to write an own one.

PvP is absolutely dominated by Dps and there are only two heroes with a good dps atm and these are Panzer and Dogface. Having the high ROF heroes charging there skills faster if you aim well is not changing that, since they have no hard hitting bronze skills. The damage they deal with the skill is the same Panzer and Dog are doing with three or four shots.
The only Dps hero who got the needed buff are Clyde and Sapphyr. But since they still are glass cannons they are down in seconds, seconds without doing a scratch to Panzer/Dog. If you just want to test the effects the changes have with these two, there better is a update ready to do the same to Maven and Odachi too. If they are buffed the same way it could help breaking the meta.
The changes done to Salvatore don’t make him useful. Still no-one will get hit bus his skill, because they take forever to get to you.

The only positive about the update until now are the changes on Galante and Gammond, making them more reliable and as I said before the changes to Clyde and Sapphyr.

So overall very underwhelming and no change of the pvp meta in sight.

PS.: What is it with these sorting possibilitys while choosing your raid heroes? It is not noted in the patch notes and does not work either.

Does any hero in the game have a Skill Cooldown Cost of 10?? I mean, 10!!!

Isn’t that like… a little bit fast?

Leaving aside the Cooldown Generation per shot (where it might now take her 5 connected shots to fully charge Heal Wave/Pulse instead of 3) … Nightingale can simply run and roll around for 10s (or 10 units of Cooldown time) and cast Heal Wave/Heal Pulse.

I am not sure that is the right direction to go?

It is still a neg right?

Before the update, 3 shots can charge the skill which need at least 6s, but now it needs 5 shots where at least 10s is needed.

No, it still takes 6 seconds if you hit every shot.
